I don’t know if all of you are in District 23 in voting for state assembly, but if you are, I encourage you to vote for Lydia Kou for State Assembly. I’ve known Lydia for many years, beginning with our time together as Palo Alto CERTs, and I’ve seen how hard-working, creative, thoughtful, and thorough Lydia is. Unlike our current Assembly Member, Marc Berman, Lydia is not in the pocket of developers and big business. Instead, she is committed to preserving our neighborhoods and ensuring that housing that is built is realistically aimed at low-income workers–our teachers, restaurant workers, retail salesclerks, and others not able to afford normal rental prices in the San Francisco Peninsula.
